Although at SOY YO LLC. we work with high quality materials.
It is very important that you take into account that, like other products, jewelry also suffers wear over time and with use.
But with proper care, each piece will remain in top condition and last over time.

Other important care for your jewelry:
1. Gold Jewelry (12K, 14K, 18K, 22K, 24K)
The most recognized and used precious metals in the jewelry world are gold and silver, and they are sold in all kinds of forms. Pure gold, or 24K gold, is a material that, on its own, is soft and cannot hold its shape (i.e., it is easy to break). For this reason, in jewelry, it is mixed with other metals, and in this way, we can increase its hardness and durability. Generally, to create “yellow gold,” gold is used with silver and copper. In this way, we obtain 10K, 12K, 14K, 18K, 22K, and 24K gold. These numbers represent the concentration of gold by weight in a piece of jewelry. So, the higher the number, the purer the piece.
Now that you know this, we can say that no piece of jewelry is extremely pure, but since gold is the most expensive of the three metals, the buyer/customer has the right to know how much gold they are buying in a piece. An honest jewelry store should always provide this information. Now that we’re clear on this, here’s how to properly care for your gold jewelry.
2. Silver o Silver plated
Silver is a metal that is resistant to oxidation and corrosion, which means that jewelry made from this material has a long lifespan and is easy to maintain. 925 is the most common stamp and means the jewelry is composed of 92.5% pure silver. Silver is not magnetic, so you can use a magnet to perform a quick test; if the jewelry is attracted to the magnet, it’s likely not sterling silver.
3. The PH of the Skin
It is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of our body, in this case, our skin. This acid mantle is very important to protect us from external agents that can cause damage.
Even if the pH is abnormal, this will not cause the piece to lose its stability.
However, exposing the piece to perspiration will cause the friction and the components of perspiration to mechanically remove the black color from the jewelry before the pH of your skin does. This, combined with an abnormal pH, produces these stains.
That’s why it’s important to wear jewelry on dry skin.
4. Semi-precious stones
Sea salt is an excellent option for cleansing your stones and minerals. This will help release any negative energies your jewelry may have absorbed.
If your stone doesn’t have any cracks, soak it overnight.
5. Natural Stones
Clean the stones and gems in jewelry you wear frequently with a soft cloth or fabric.
If they are stones from the quartz family, you can slightly dampen the cloth. Do not use soap, a brush, baking soda, or any other product, as this will damage your stones.
Which stones can’t be cleaned with water?
Stones like hematite and malachite should NOT be cleaned with water.
Which stones can get wet?
• Amethyst
• Crystal quartz
• Garnet
• Citrine quartz
• Turquoise
• Rose quartz
6. Plated or plated jewelry
Storing jewelry separately is always the best way to keep it in perfect condition.
This way, it won’t tangle or change color when it comes into contact with other pieces.
If possible, get into the habit of cleaning your jewelry daily as soon as you take it off and make sure to store it in a dry place away from sunlight, water, moisture, or air.
